The artwork that you see here employs digital media: animation, web, interactive installation and/or video. I'm interested in the intersection of education, human perception and creative technologies. Much of my artwork has been participatory; either in the creation process to mold a piece that is collaborative, or in the outset, in allowing the audience to play and interact with my completed work.

Included here are also a variety of creative works by former students, from stop-motion animations by elementary-age students to documentary videos by high-school students and online interactives by college students.

Currently working at KMVT Community Television in Mountain View, CA, I'm beginning to compile compelling independent videos and animations to air on a new program I'm curating called Eye Level. If you've got a finished piece that expresses a point of view, idea, opinion or narrative that isn't widely represented by mass media, I'd love to view your work for consideration on the program:

News - Documentary Project - May 2008
Photo: Erica & her Sister in Boston 2007

A team of talented friends and colleagues and I are in the process of filming a Documentary on a dynamic, beautiful and articulate young woman named Erica Murray, who is living with leukemia.

The documentary aims to bring awareness and education to the need for bone marrow stem cell donations for leukemia patients, as well as highlight the difficulties of a mixed-race individual to find a perfect match. Through Erica's story, we hope to compel people, especially of mixed race and minorities, to go out and register to donate.

The more people who register to donate their bone marrow stem cells, the better the chances for all patients in similar conditions to Erica to receive the match they need to save their life!

If we bring understanding through one person struggling with leukemia, we can bring awareness and understanding for the whole cause.

For information and to register to donate bone marrow, go to www.marrow.org. Free donor drives and home kit for minorities!
